Tom Kivisto- a successful businessman


If success was lineage, Tom Kivisto justifies it just right. Born from a father, Ernie who was a successful basketball coach Tom flagged many wins in the game. To his success adds many trophies and tournaments. He played as a member of KU’s from 1971 to 1974 in NCAA Final Four teams. To add more to the glory of this successful businessman he holds the single game assist record for the Kansas team. Tom Kivisto is also a member of the Illinois basketball hall of fame. Along with collecting trophies from basketball games across the year, he studied psychology and completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He post graduated in Urban planning to kick start his life ahead in the world of business where he flourished his dreams like a free bird.
Tom Kivisto is a successful American businessman who is a founder of the Semgroup, LP. He served the company as a president from April 2000 to July 18, 2008. His success story can be stated by the number of acquisitions under his tenure in the company. More than 40 acquisitions and a total asset growth from $222.4 million in 2000 to more than $3.6 billion at year end 2005. Need we say more..?
